Kerrie is a Certified School Risk Manager with a background in juvenile corrections, mental health programs, contracts and risk management. Over the past 20 years, Kerrie has had a wide range of positions that help her understand high-risk adolescent behaviors, services, programs, and state and federal funding.
Kerrie believes passionately in social justice, education and justice system reform, and the importance of one caring adult. At eight years old, Kerrie was saved by a teacher after her teenage brother was killed by another teen. Kerrie has been a foster parent to five beautiful Black children and a guardian of two Indigenous toddlers. Recently, Kerrie and her husband adopted a homeless, parentless teenager. She and her family live in Eau Claire, WI.
Maria Jaramillo has been honored to serve as the executive director of the Central Region Educational Cooperative (CREC) since 2010. The Central Region Educational Cooperative (CREC) is one of ten regional educational cooperatives established in 1984 by the New Mexico Department of Education. We provide support services to seven rural school districts and four state-supported programs as well as the families served by them. We accomplish our purpose by offering a variety of resources and services, including early childhood programs, pre-employment transition services training, technology assistance, administration support, grant administration, and more.
